WELDO is an official partner of FRONTEX for the provision of reintegration assistance to returnees of Pakistani Origin returning on a voluntary or non-voluntary basis form Member States and Schengen Associated Countries under Joint Reintegration Services (JRS)
WELDO is providing returnees with reintegration assistance both within the first three days following the arrival in the country of origin (post-arrival assistance), as well as longer-term assistance up to 12 months (post-return assistance) to help returnees reintegrate into their societies in a dignified and humane manner. The services are delivered in cooperation between the returnee, Frontex, the return counsellor in the Member State, and WELDO.
Post Arrival Assistance
When returnees arrive back in Pakistan they may have been travelling for several hours and be in a very vulnerable stage due to a number of factors including health issues, grievances, economic issues, unfamiliarity with the travel systems etc. Therefore Post Arrival Assistance is provided under the JRS project to assist returnees and provide them with the following services :-
• Airport Reception Services
• Temporary Accommodation
• In-country Travel Assistance
• Special Travel Assistance for vulnerable people after arrival
• Referral for urgent medical care
• Cash assistance
All these services are provided by WELDO, keeping in mind that returnees are vulnerable individuals.
Post Return Assistance
The following long term reintegration services are provided by WELDO in Pakistan to both voluntary and non-voluntary returnees to assist them in sustainable reintegration.
